Wood

European beech, sustainably sourced. FSC certified at supplier level.

Finish

Water-based, non-toxic paint. No solvents, no formaldehyde, no phthalates.

Hardware

Brass or steel pin where used. No magnets in mouth-zone items.

Adhesives

Water-based wood glue at joinery, child-safe formulations.

Material

Natural rattan vine, hand-cut and hand-woven.

Binding

Linen cord at handles. No synthetic plastic.

Coloring

Natural or vegetable-dye. No chemical bleaching.

Specification 03

Compliance basis

Every bramwild product is sourced from suppliers who manufacture to the following toy-safety standards:

• ASTM F963 — US consumer-product safety standard for toys
• EN71 — European toy-safety standard (parts 1, 2, 3)
• 16 CFR 1303 — US lead-paint regulation (≤90 ppm)
• CPSIA — US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, permanent tracking-label compliance at supplier package level

The underlying CPSC test reports are held by our suppliers, not by bramwild directly. We do not re-test items in-house. This is the standard model for boutique-scale dropship retailers; we’re transparent about it rather than claiming third-party testing we haven’t done.

What we don’t claim

• We don’t claim “tested to” any standard. We say “sourced to meet” because that’s accurate.
• We don’t claim “Montessori-certified” or “Waldorf-approved” without holding those certifications.
• We don’t market toys as flotation devices, climbing equipment, or learning tools we can’t substantiate.
• We don’t make claims about cognitive or developmental benefits beyond what the play itself naturally offers.

Age recommendation

Default 4+. Specific products may list higher minimums (real-glass kaleidoscope = 6+, for example) where small-parts or supervised-use concerns apply. Each product page is specific about its age range.

Recalls & safety updates

If we ever learn of a safety issue with a product line, we notify affected customers by email and publish a safety notice here. To date: no recalls.
