Wolf canvas adventure pack
A coat-pocket adventure, fully kitted.
A canvas shoulder pack with a stencilled wolf, packed for a child’s walking afternoon. Inside: a wooden hand-magnifier, an owl-faced compass (decorative, not magnetic), a roll-up groundsheet, and six illustrated nature-spotter cards (bird, leaf, track). Built to be lifted off the hook on a Saturday morning and carried into the garden.
Ages & how it’s used
Made for ages 4 and up. The pack rides on one shoulder; the strap is sized for a five-year-old. Children kneel on the groundsheet, hold the magnifier over a beetle, flip the spotter cards to find a match.

Care
Canvas pack and groundsheet are hand-wash. Air-dry, do not tumble. Wooden magnifier and compass: dry cloth only. The cards survive a sprinkle of rain — not a downpour.

Does the magnifier actually magnify?
No — it’s a wooden hand-shape with a printed lens detail. Real glass magnification on a 4-year-old’s hand felt like a poor trade. If you want working magnification, our Field Spotters page has more on that.
Is the compass working?
Decorative only. We didn’t fit a magnetic needle — the illustration is the point.
Can a 4-year-old carry it?
Yes — canvas pack is light, strap is short-sized. We aim for a child to wear it comfortably one-shoulder.
How do I clean the canvas?
Hand-wash cold, air dry. The stencil is permanent.
