A pretend safari kit, packed in a cotton drawstring bag with a hand-painted lion on the front. Inside, six wooden pieces — a working owl compass, a folding penknife, a click-shutter camera, a mosquito-spray bottle, a water bottle for the trail, and zebra-and-giraffe spotter cards. Built for backyard expeditions and pretend explorer-club afternoons.

Care
Spot-clean the canvas bag with a damp cloth. Wipe wood pieces dry. The compass dial turns freely; if it sticks, a drop of beeswax along the edge. Store everything back in the bag — the drawstring keeps the small pieces together.

Does the compass actually work?
It rotates freely, but it's a pretend dial — there is no magnet inside. For ages 4-6 the rotation is the point, not the cardinal direction.
Is the penknife dangerous?
No. It's a folding wooden replica with no blade — just the click and feel of a folding knife. Sourced to meet ASTM F963.
Can the canvas bag get wet?
Light splashes are fine; full submersion is not recommended (the cotton will shrink slightly). Air-dry.
